CBCM-FM 89.7 is a broadcast relay station of CBC Radio One Toronto 99.1 MHz (CBLA-FM). The public radio transmitter was launched in January 1981 on a frequency of 107.5 in Penetanguishine. In 1993 Huntsville and Parry Sound satellites were set up however the addition of these transmitters was overshadowed by the closure of CBCM. The channel was back on May 25, 1999 on 89.7 FM. The license of the station was renewed on May 28, 2013 with validation up to August 31, 2018.
