PUR FM 94.1 legally known as CKCN-FM is a Hot AC station owned by Médias Nord-Cotiers and operates in Sept-Îles, Quebec. The Class B channel was launched on a frequency of 560 kHz as an AM station on March 30, 1963; 5,000 w was the ERP. Radio Sept-Iles Inc. owned the radio. Marche BANCO Ltee acquired 50% interest in Radio Sept-lles Inc. in 1976. CKCN was disaffiliated with CBC in 1977. Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission permitted the channel to switch to FM band; 94.1 MHz would be the new dial and 4,880 would be adopted as transmitter power. Effective control was transferred to Le Nord-Côtier. in 2008. Attraction Media became the new owner in the summers of 2016.
