CBAX-FM 91.5 Halifax, an Espace Musique lablel, is a station affiliated with Société Radio-Canada (SRC) owned Ici Musique Network which is a part of CBC. The relay broadcast transmitters of the CBAX are located in Charlottetown, St. John’s and Yarmouth. CRTC approved the application of CBC for a French-language FM radio at Halifax. It was proposed that programing would be a mix of La Chaîne culturelle and locally made. The 77,500 watts-transmitter successfully made it into airs in somewhere in 2002 using a frequency of 91.5 MHz. CRTC on September 1, 2005 approved the CBAX-FM 91.5 to setup a transmitter at Yarmouth. The renewal of the license was made on May 28, 2013 until August 31, 2018. Audiences can have the Classical, Rock, Hip Hop, Soul, de monde, Folk, Trad, Alternatif, Jazz and more music genres online with best host personalities in the studios.
