CBM-FM-1 is a broadcast relay station of CBM-FM (CBC Radio 2 93.5) based in Montreal. The class B transmitter at Sherbrooke was approved by Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission on Oct 14, 1999. It would operate on the proposed frequency of 89.7 MHz using an ERP of 23,400 w. Wattage was increased to 25,000 w after approval on Oct 1, 2001. CBC had plans to move the transmitter site to Fleurimont. The Canadian commission updated the license of the main Montreal radio and it’s all three rebroadcasters at Sherbrooke, Quebec City and Iqaluit on May 28, 2013 until Aug 31, 2018.
