CHOC FM 104,9 in Saint-Rémi, QC is a Francophone radio owned by Radio communautaire intergénération Jardin du Québec. CRTC permitted La Maison des Jeunes de St-Rémi Inc. to open a community FM using a frequency and ERP of 104.9 MHz and 0.8 w respectively on Sep 28, 1988. Proposed programming broadcasting local news bulletins, issues and events involving community, was 15 hours each week. 40% of the content shared would be spoken word. Legally known as CHOC-FM, the channel singed on air somewhere in 1989 or 1990. The calls: CHOC were previously used by a Jonquiere-based radio in Quebec.

CRTC approved the increment in effective radiated power to 200 w in Oct 2001 to upgrade the CHOC 104.9 FM to Class A1. The commission noted that the amends in licensing would help the applicant deal with the interference made by CJGO at Lachute and CFXM at Granby. In June 2005 the commission terminated the term that would require CHOC 104,9 FM to broadcast at least 40% of spoken word. Technical contours were altered in 2017 changing the transmitter site and increasing the wattages to 572 (avg.) and 1,714 (max) respectively.
