CKDJ 107.9 Ottawa owned by Algonquin College is a campus radio at Algonquin College in Ottawa. It opened as a closed circuit radio station in 1972. CRTC granted college the permissions to set up a campus radio at Nepean on Sep 29, 1993; it would use a frequency of 96.9 MHz using an ERP of 8 w. CKDJ 96.9 went on air on Oct 3, 1994. Rogers Broadcasting donated a transmitter to CKJD in 1998. A frequency change was allowed by CRTC; 107.9 MHz was the new dial in March 2003. CRTC updated the license of the station for a seven year term on May 15, 2007 until Aug 31, 2014.
