Grand101 FM legally known as CICW-FM is a Fergus based community news, talk and music station owned by Centre Wellington Community Radio Inc. CRTC approved the application by the company on April 29, 2011. The proposed English language commercial station would broadcast in Elora and Fergus on a frequency of 92.9 MHz using an ERP of 85 w. Out of 126 hours per broadcast week 121 would make the local content. The programming would mainly include spoken word and music.

Spoken word would come up with news, sports and weather updates, community interest programs, discussions on economic development, meetings of municipal council, special and community events etc. Music would showcase category 2 and 3 musical selections alongside specialty music programming. A couple of months before the final launch of the Grand101 on Oct 28, 2011, CRTC approved the applicants request to decrease the avg. and max ERP to 46 and 150 w respectively. Testing started late in the 2011 and The Grand @ 92.9 was officially launched in Jan 2011 from its studios and offices at 198 St. Andrew St. W. in Fergus. ERP was increased to 750 w and frequency and the Grand 101.1 was allowed to make a move to 101.1 MHz. CICW-FM was rebranded as Grand 101 on March 28, 2016. Center Wellington’s Best Music is the slogan of the Grand101 FM. Audiences can listen the Grand101 FM online with local and national news, events updates, local weather updates and Today’s Music.
