Unique FM 94.5

Unique FM 94.5 aka CJFO-FM is a French language community radio owned by Radio de la communauté francophone d’Ottawa. After getting their application rejected in Aug 2008 CRTC permitted Radio de la communauté francophone d’Ottawa to set up a Class B French language station on a frequency (101.7 MHz) initially proposed; however, the owner was allowed to apply for the frequency changed which would be 94.5 MHz after seeking the approval. 718 w was the initially proposed ERP. The new frequency was approved by CRTC on Feb 4, 2010 and CJFO-FM went on air on Nov 15, 2010 after some signal testing earlier in September from its studios at 245 McArthur Avenue. C’est dans l’air (It’s in the air) is the catchphrase of the radio.
